Air Quality Qualifications for LEED

mr natural® can assist you in obtaining credits for undertaking measurements of indoor air contaminants as required by LEED 2009 for new construction and major renovations. Testing is carried out in strict accordance with the LEED standards.

Prior to the assessment, mr natural® will thoroughly review the existing building plans, air management schematics and material survey, with the purpose of designing the most suitable and representative sampling strategy.

mr natural® provides these services within the lower mainland for Vancouver and throughout the province. Travel expenses may be incurred for projects outside of the lower mainland.

LEED Compliance Testing

Air quality testing for LEED compliance includes the following contaminants:

  • Formaldehyde
  • Total Volatile Organic Compounds (TVOC)
  • Particulates (PM10)
  • 4-Phenylcyclohexane (4-PCH)* more info
  • Carbon monoxide

*This test is only required if carpets and fabrics with styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) latex backing material are installed as part of the base building systems.
